Eye Pencil: Kohl Pencil

The kohl pencil (eye pencil) is a black eyeliner, which is applied above and especially below the eyes. Unlike the eyeliner (= liquid eyeliner), however, the kajal pencil is like a conventional pen with a colored lead.

With the Kajal pencil, the eyes can be emphasized in the simplest and quickest way.

It is applied to the outer edge of the eyelashes and makes them look thicker.

The classic color for eyeliner is black, it looks more natural in shades of gray or brown, bright colors look more striking.

How to apply an eyeliner pencil?

  • Draw a line along the upper and lower lash line from the outside to the inside. The inner lash line should be emphasized only very delicately.
  • Blur the lines. Repeat at the lower lash line, but a little more discreet.

Notice:

  • The harder, i.e. more sharply outlined the eyeliner, the more dramatic it looks, the more blurred the eyeliner looks, the more natural and softer it looks.
  • If you are prone to dark circles, do not use the eye pencil, because it would emphasize the dark circles.
