- Ophthalmoscopy (ophthalmoscopy).
- Slit lamp examination (slit lamp microscope).
Optional medical device diagnostics – depending on the results of the history, physical examination, laboratory diagnostics and obligatory medical device diagnostics – for differential diagnostic clarification.
- Tonometry (intraocular pressure measurement)
- Computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging of the skull (cranial CT / MRI) – for further diagnostics – if a neoplasm is suspected.
