Eyeliner

Eyeliner is a liquid eyeliner for intensive eye make-up.

Like the kohl pencil (eye pencil), it is used to emphasize the eyes. Unlike the eyeliner, however, the kajal pencil is constructed like a conventional pencil with a colored lead. For more information on the eyeliner pencil, see “Cosmetics/Kajal pencil” below.

The eyeliner belongs together with eye shadow and mascara to the eye cosmetics.

How to use an eyeliner?

Clean your eyelid before applying the eyeliner. Do not use products containing oil for this, otherwise the eyeliner may not hold on the eyelid. You can achieve a better hold of the color by applying a primer afterwards.

Now to apply the liquid eyeliner: sit in front of the mirror, prop up your elbows and lift your chin as high as possible. This will lower the eyelids and keep them still. Now you can draw a precise line more easily and quickly. To do this, tighten the skin above the corner of the eye a little with your fingers; then draw a line with the eyeliner as close as possible to the base of the eyelashes.

Now for the execution: Start in the middle and guide the eyeliner to the outer end; then complete the eyeliner by starting at the inner corner of the eye and carrying out the line to the middle.

It is even easier if you first apply only small dots, which you then connect from the inside to the outside.

When you draw the eyeliner across the outer corner of the eye, the wing is created. To make the wing more successful, simply place a piece of paper (or an adhesive strip) at the outer corner of the eye and draw the eyeliner straight along there.
