Fascial Training | Fascia Roll for Fasciae Training

Fascial Training

The so-called fascial training includes fundamentally large extensive exercises, which should address as many muscles in a chain as possible. The training is suitable for everyone – whether as balancing exercises for athletes, exercise after a long day at the office or any injuries and tensions in the musculoskeletal system. Due to the large range of motion, whole muscle chains and thus their surrounding fasciae should be moved, which maintains or improves their elasticity and flexibility and also ensures stability in the body.

Above all, large movements increase blood circulation, improve metabolism and reduce tension. The fascial roll is often used in fascial training to loosen the tissue and loosen last adhesions. As with the general sports recommendation, 2-3 units per week also apply to fascial training, with adherence to the regeneration days. The Fascial Roller, on the other hand, can be used daily and often shows quick results after only a few minutes of regular rolling. As sensitive as the tissue reacts to pressure at the beginning, tension and adhesions can be released effectively.

Blackroll

Due to the great success of the fascia rollers, there are now various manufacturers offering the self-massage rollers. The classic fascia rolls are the “Blackroll” and the “Pinofit Fascia Roll“. According to various sources, Blackroll is the first manufacturer ever to introduce the foam roller to the market.

The original Blackroll is about 30cm long, has a diameter of 15cm and is hollow in the middle. This roll costs around 30€. It is offered in different degrees of hardness.

Beginners should start with still very pressure sensitive fasciae and fabrics with a softer roll, like the “Blackroll MED”. Other products of the Blackroll series are smaller and narrower rolls (“Blackroll MINI”), especially suitable for soles, forearms and the neck, grooved rolls for increased blood circulation (“Blackroll GROOVE”), longer rolls (45cm) and the extra hard “Blackroll PRO” for advanced scooters. All rolls come with an enclosed DVD with various exercises and explanations.
