Fat: Bread and Bakery Products

Bread is one of the most important sources of carbohydrates in our country. Whole grain bread contains a lot of fiber and is therefore preferable to white bread. Bread alone can hardly be considered a fattener. Only after a daily consumption of 1.2 kilograms is the sugar converted into fat in the body. The spread is usually the most fatty thing on the “sandwich”.

Sweet baked goods and snacks are unconscious fatteners

The fact that sweet baked goods are hardly fat-free is obvious. What many people don’t know, however, is that even less sweet baked goods like whole wheat cookies and whole wheat bars often contain plenty of fat. Salty baked goods, in addition to being high in hidden fat, are also potential fatteners because they are often eaten unknowingly on the side (while watching TV, having a conversation).
