In case of constipation it is recommended to take 1-2 tablespoons of linseed meal in the morning, at noon and in the evening. After some time and after improvement of the symptoms, one can reduce to 2 tablespoons of meal in the evening. Also mixed with fruit and yoghurt or recommended as an addition to muesli.

It is very important to always ensure a sufficient supply of liquid, because the roughage must swell to promote intestinal movement (peristalsis). Linseed oil, with its polyunsaturated fatty acids, counteracts arteriosclerosis.

If linseed is enjoyed whole, it must be chewed well. It can be mixed with muesli, yogurt and fruit. In case of gastritis or ulcers in this area, linseed is prepared as follows: 50 g of unground linseed is poured over 1 liter of cold water.

Heat until boiling, boil briefly, let it cool down and strain. Drink a cup of lukewarm water before meals. To increase the effect of the decoction described above, you can add 3 teaspoons of chamomile flowers after boiling and before straining.

If linseed is used properly, none are to be expected. However, sufficient liquid supply must be ensured in addition. Linseed in the indicated quantities is quite suitable for continuous use.
