Flunarizine and vertigo

Flunarizine is used to treat vestibular vertigo. This form of vertigo is caused by a disorder of the vestibular organ. By blocking calcium channels, flunarizine influences the signal transmission in the inner ear and vestibular organ and can thus effectively relieve vertigo symptoms.

The dizziness should have been sufficiently diagnosed so that its origin can be clearly assigned to the organ of equilibrium. Flunarizine is usually not suitable for the treatment of vertigo caused by other causes.
