Effects
Fluprednidene acetate (ATC D07AB07) has anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antipruritic, and antiproliferative properties. The effects are due to binding to intracellular glucocorticoid receptors.
Indications
Fluprednidene acetate is used as a fixed combination with the antifungal agents miconazole for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions infected by fungi and/or Gram-positive bacteria.
Dosage
According to the SmPC. The cream is applied thinly once or twice daily. The duration of treatment should not exceed two weeks.

- Vaccination reactions
- Perioral dermatitis
- Rosacea

Adverse effects
Possible adverse effects include local reactions. As with all topical glucocorticoids, skin damage and systemic adverse reactions are possible with improper use. Therefore, the drug should not be applied to large areas, for too long, under occlusion, or to open wounds.
