The anamnesis (medical history) represents an important component in the diagnosis of foot deformities.
Family history
- Are there any conditions in your family that are common?
- Are there any hereditary diseases in your family?
Social history
- What is your profession?
Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).
- What changes have you noticed in your feet?
- Does the change exist on one or both sides?
- How long has this change existed?
- How has the change been treated so far?
- Do you have any other deformities? At the knee, hip, spine, etc.?
Vegetative anamnesis incl. nutritional anamnesis.
- Are you overweight? Please tell us your body weight (in kg) and height (in cm).
Self anamnesis incl. medication anamnesis
- Pre-existing conditions (neurological diseases, orthopedic diseases).
- Operations
- Radiotherapy
- Allergies
- Pregnancies (first birth, location, amount of amniotic fluid, multiples; course of birth – important in congenital foot deformities).
- Medication history
