In chronic pain syndrome, the protective function that pain has in a healthy person recedes into the background and chronic pain becomes its own clinical picture. The definition of chronic pain syndrome is a pain that persists for three to twelve months and shows no signs of a temporal limit. Therefore, the prognosis of complete recovery from this disease is poor, especially since there is no therapy that can specifically treat the cause of the pain.
