Prevention factors
- Batteries, button cells should be deposited inaccessible to children.
- In general, small parts where there is a risk of ingestion should not be stored within reach of children.
- Toys should be age-appropriate. Information from the manufacturer can be found on the toys or their packaging / instructions.
- Food should be offered with age in mind. Unsuitable for toddlers are nuts, seeds, popcorn, large pieces of carrot or apple.
