Healing effects and use of thimble

The red foxglove is one of the strongest poisonous plants of our homeland. A self-treatment must be omitted!! Digitalis is the classical heart remedy, used for disturbances of the heart function, it increases the heart performance, promotes the blood circulation and removes pathological water congestion by increased urine secretion.

Application in homeopathy

The homeopathic drug Digitalis purpurea is also an important cardiac remedy in homeopathy. Prepared from fresh leaves collected before flowering. It is also used for insomnia and depression and for enlargement of the prostate gland in connection with problems when urinating.

The most common potentiations are D3 to D6. Digitalis is only available on prescription up to D3! As a layman you should not try homeopathic thimble preparations.

Side effect

Thimble is very poisonous!!! Poisonings show themselves by irregular pulse, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, violent body aches, blue coloration of the lips, shortness of breath.
