Fruit acid peeling

What is a fruit acid peeling?

Fruit acid peeling is one of the chemical peelings for external application in aesthetic dermatology. Irritating fruit acids in various concentrations are applied to the skin and penetrate the uppermost skin layers to different depths depending on their strength. The peeling is often used for age-related wrinkles, acne, pigment disorders, scars, stretch marks or other skin phenomena, but also for general skin refinement.

The natural fruit acid can loosen old skin layers and the skin is stimulated to form new components such as skin cells, collagen and elastin, so that the skin becomes more elastic and firmer. In addition, more moisture is bound, resulting in smooth and fresh skin. In the case of fruit acid peeling, natural acids are used, which are also found in a similar form in our food. These are, for example, malic acid, citric acid or glycolic acid from sugar cane, which are specially prepared for the treatment.

What can a fruit acid peeling all be used for?

The fruit acid peeling is basically used to improve the skin’s appearance. This includes the refinement of pores, a slight smoothing of the skin, purer skin and the fading of age spots or scars. The peeling is therefore used for this purpose:

  • Large-pored skin
  • Acne, blackheads and impure skin
  • Age or pigmentation spots
  • Stretch marks or stretch marks
  • Small wrinkles

Fruit acid peelings can also be used to treat acne.

In this case, a combination with a professional skin cleansing to remove blackheads and comedones is recommended. If you want to do something against your acne, fruit acid therapy can be used to reduce scars. It is most often used for the treatment of acne scars.

In scar treatment, the depth of the scars is decisive in determining how high the acidity level of a successful therapy must be. If very deep scars have to be treated, an acid level of 70% is necessary. This treatment should be carried out by a dermatologist. Since pigment spots do not sit superficially on the skin, but have their origin in deeper skin layers, high-dose peelings are more suitable for their treatment. In this case, treatment should also be carried out by a dermatologist or an experienced beautician.
