Further therapeutic measures | Physiotherapy after hip-TEP

Further therapeutic measures

In addition to the actual physiotherapy to increase mobility and strength, a manual therapy after a hip TEP can also be performed. Special grips and movements by the physiotherapist can positively influence the healing process around the hip joint. It is also possible to work with light massage and heat. The hip muscles can be trained very well in water due to the buoyancy.

Summary

The necessity of a hip TEP (total endoprosthesis) is no longer a serious problem nowadays. Due to a minimally invasive procedure, the structures around the hip joint are only slightly damaged during the operation. Physiotherapy now has the goal and the task of restoring these structures. Through regular training the hip TEP (total endoprosthesis) should not be a hindrance.
