Groin Swelling

Inguinal swelling (synonyms: inguinal swelling, inguinal swelling; ICD-10-GM R22.3: Localized swelling, mass, and nodule of the skin and subcutaneous tissue of the upper extremities) refers to swelling in the inguinal region (groin region). It can occur in the context of various diseases (see differential diagnoses).

Inguinal swelling may occur with or without pain and may be a symptom of many diseases (see under “Differential diagnoses”).

Course and prognosis: The course and prognosis depend on the cause of the disease. Medical evaluation is required.
