Healing time

As a rule of thumb, the end point of healing is the state of complete freedom from pain. If nothing hurts anymore, the tissue is probably regenerated. As a rule, improvement should occur after about 4 to 6 days and all symptoms should have disappeared after 1 to 2 weeks.

However, depending on the severity of the injury, this may take longer or happen more quickly. If the affected person still feels significant pain one week after the accident, this is an urgent indication to consult a doctor at this point at the latest – if not already done.
