Heart and Circulation

Our heart is the engine of our body

The condition of the heart is always dependent on the condition of the body.

Due to wrong lifestyle with too little exercise and wrong diet with too much cholesterol, fats and carbohydrates, our body is damaged.

Consequences of a wrong lifestyle include.

  • Obesity (overweight)
  • Hyperlipidemia (lipid metabolism disorder)
  • Arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries)
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Diabetes mellitus
  • Circulatory disorders

All these conditions put a strain on our cardiovascular system and some conditions put us at increased risk of myocardial infarction (heart attack) and apoplexy (stroke). Doppler sonography allows for early diagnosis and timely treatment to avoid serious health consequences. To determine whether your cardiovascular system is working intact, a performance test under stress – exercise ergometry – or an ergometer test can be performed.
The results of such performance tests provide information about any cardiovascular diseases that may be present, helping to maintain your health.

If your heart and circulation are healthy, you will feel well and vital. Take precautions and help maintain your performance into old age.
