Herpangina: Medical History

Medical history (history of illness) represents an important component in the diagnosis of herpangina.

Family history

  • What is the general health of your family members?

Social history

  • Have you had contact with other sufferers recently?

Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • What symptoms have you noticed?
    • Headache?
    • Sore throat?
    • Throat pain?
    • Difficulty swallowing?
  • How long have these symptoms been present?
  • Do you have a fever? If so, for how long and what is the temperature?
  • Do you feel sluggish and tired?
  • Have you noticed any changes in your throat? Do these changes hurt?

Self anamnesis incl. medication anamnesis
