In addition, some household remedies have proven effective in the treatment of eczema, such as honey, propolis, apple vinegar and zinc ointment or zinc tablets. Schüssler salts can also be used. For eczema, Schüssler salts number 8 (Sodium Chloratum), number 12 (Calcium Sulfuricum) and number 20 (Potassium aluminium sulfuricum) can be used. Schüssler salts are used three to six times a day with one to two tablets each.

Home remedies

There are many different home remedies that are used for eczema. Since not every household remedy has the same effect on every person affected, it must be tested individually which household remedy has an individual effect. For eczema, remedies can be used that have an anti-inflammatory and anti-itching effect.

Aloe Vera provides moisture and has an anti-inflammatory effect. Quark or yoghurt also have an anti-inflammatory effect and soothe itching through their cooling effect. Since yogurt and quark must be washed off again after they have dried, they should only be applied to the ear for external use.

Even a black tea can be boiled and cooled down and placed as a bag on the affected eczema, which accelerates the healing process. Diluted apple vinegar can help against the symptoms of ear eczema. For this purpose, the vinegar should be diluted with water (ratio of water to vinegar 9:1).

The mixture should be applied to the ear several times a day. Evening primrose oil and marigold ointment can also relieve the symptoms of eczema. If fever should occur, it is essential to consult a doctor.
