Forms of appearance of acne
In homeopathy, acne can be divided into four manifestations:
- Acne for oily skin
- Acne with dry skin
- Acne with hard and/or dark colored pustules and lumps
- Acne with worsening around the time of menstruation
Homeopathic medicines for acne with dry skin
For acne in dry skin the following homeopathic medicines are suitable:
- Sulphur (sulphur)
- Sulfur iodatum (compound of sulfur and iodine)
- Hepar sulfuris (lime sulphur liver)
Sulphur (sulphur)
In case of angina, sulfur (sulfur) can be used in the following dosage: Tablets D12 (not deeper!) For further information on sulfur, please refer to our topic: Sulfur
- The skin is impure and dry, appears unkempt and unhealthy
- Numerous blackheads and pus pustules that harden easily+
- The skin is red and itches
- Water and heat worsen the symptoms
- Red lips and ears
- Irritable, grumpy being with a hot temper.
Sulphur iodate
Prescription only up to and including D3! In case of angina, Sulfur iodatum can be used in the following dosage: Tablets D6
- Middle image similar to sulfur, but with increased suppurating nodes
- The acne pustules are hardened, but not painful
- Restless, does not tolerate sun.
Hepar sulfuris (lime sulphur liver)

- Strong tendency to suppuration
- Frosty patients with high sensitivity to cold and draught
- Desire for sour and strongly spiced food
- Intense character.
