Homeopathy for aphthae

Introduction

Homeopathic therapy for aphthae is based on the inflammation of the oral mucosa, which proceeds in phases. Depending on the body’s defense system, the severity of the damage varies. The location of the aphthae or ulcers on the oral mucosa (whether at the edge or tip of the tongue) is not taken into account.

The general condition and certain special features are taken into account in the choice of means. The remedies described in the following sections are extremely poisonous, some of them even lethal, if dosed and diluted incorrectly. It is therefore important to have your doctor or pharmacist prescribe these remedies so that dosage and dilution are chosen in such a way that they can no longer harm the body.

Aconitum is used for aphthae that occur suddenly and mostly at night for the first time. Patients complain of dry mucous membrane in the mouth and feel very thirsty. The trigger is often a cold, dry east wind.

Prescription only up to and including D3! (In homeopathy, the dilution series that runs in powers of 10 is called the D series. D3 describes a dilution of the mother tincture of 1:1000) Koloquinte is used for sudden and very severe pain, preferably on the left side.

In the evening and by touch, the pain becomes worse. Prescription only up to and including D3! Mercurius solubilis is used for inflammation of the oral mucosa with a bluish-red color.

It is also used for aphthae and small ulcers that tend to ulcer. Prescription only up to and including D3! The product is very similar to the Mercurius solubilis described above.

However, the symptoms are more pronounced here. Here, aphthae and small ulcers in the oral mucosa tend to secrete blood. The blood is dark in color.

The patient reports bad breath and salivation. Homeopathic nitric acid is used for strongly aching aphtae that bleed easily. The patient describes the pain as if splinters of wood were stuck in the affected area.

Salivation and bad breath are also present. The tongue is bright red and often shows a furrow in the middle. This remedy is used for bleeding aphthae.

The tongue appears greasy coated. The symptoms get worse in the evening and at night. Borax is a remedy that is preferably used in infants.

The aphthae develop rapidly, bleed easily and cause burning pain. The oral mucosa is often dry. Especially small children suffer from diarrhoea.

Globules are small sugar-based scattering globules, taste sweet and are popular with children. Both tablets and globules are suitable for children. (Drops contain alcohol and should not be used by children).

Tablets and globules should be allowed to melt slowly under the tongue. Nothing should be eaten or drunk about half an hour before or after. Dosage and potency also depends on whether a disease is acute or chronic.

The more acute the condition, the lower the potency and the more often the application. Discuss the dosage with your doctor or pharmacist.
