Homeopathy for arthrosis

Osteoarthritis of joints is the result of a variety of previous events. Age and wear and tear diseases in the area of the supporting and locomotor system. Joint degeneration, the German expression, leaves little hope for successful treatment and pain relief.

When choosing the right homeopathic remedy, very personal complaints, existing weak points and illnesses must be taken into account in each individual case. These are hormonal influences as well as metabolic stress due to insufficient function of the liver and gallbladder system and the intestine. In addition, predisposition-related disorders in kidney function and a tendency to increased uric acid with attacks of gout, disorders of bone metabolism. They are considered to be pacemakers of the disease pattern, ultimately referred to as arthrosis.

Homeopathic medicines

The following homeopathic medicines can be used for arthroses of the joints in the arms and legs:

  • Rhus toxicodendron (poison ivy)
  • Caulophyllum (female root, blue buttercup)
  • Harpagophytum procumens (Devil’s Claw)
  • Spiraca ulmaria (real meadowsweet, meadow queen)
  • Causticum

Especially drops D12 are used.

  • Joint pain with feeling of stiffness
  • Neck stiffness and severe back pain
  • Great restlessness. Calm aggravated
  • Urge to move
  • Pain is initially worsened by movement, but improves with continued movement (“the joints shrink”)
  • Triggering or aggravating are soaking, cold and traumatic events (overexertion)
  • The co-reaction of surrounding nerves (neuralgia) is often present
  • Sciatica and lumbago (lumbago, muscular rheumatism of the lumbar region)
  • Heat improves.

  • Arthrosis is particularly evident in the small joints of the hands and feet
  • Improvement through heat, aggravation at night and through exposure to cold
  • It is characteristic that the symptoms are related to the menopause.
