Homeopathy for breast inflammation

As with any inflammation, there is a phased progression. It must always be considered whether an antibiotic must be used. The use of homeopathics is possible in every phase.

Homeopathic medicines

The following homeopathic remedies are used to treat mastitis: First phase Second phase Third phase

  • Belladonna (Belladonna)
  • Apis mellifica (honey bee)
  • Phytolacca (Kermes berry)
  • Hepar sulfuris (lime sulphur liver)

Belladonna (Belladonna)

Prescription only up to and including D3! Typical dosage of belladonna (deadly nightshade) for mastitis during breastfeeding: drops of D3

  • The complaints have developed very quickly
  • Swelling and feeling of tension
  • The chest is reddened
  • Pain is felt especially with vibration
  • They are pulsating and knocking

Apis mellifica (honey bee)

Typical dosage of Apis mellifica (honey bee) in mastitis: Tablets D6

  • Pronounced swelling, the skin is glassy and light red (Belladonna shows a dark red)
  • Stinging pain and burning heat
  • The skin is extremely sensitive to touch
  • Improvement through local, cool applications
  • Drowsiness

Third phase of inflammation in the form of imminent or incipient suppuration

No self treatment! Mostly an antibiotic is necessary! Accompanying homeopathics possible

Phytolacca (Kermes berry)

Typical dosage of Phytolacca (Kermes berry) for breast inflammation caused by breastfeeding: Tablets D3

  • Due to the swelling and milk congestion the breast becomes very hard
  • Hurts and is sensitive to pressure.
  • As breastfeeding is very painful
  • Feeling of shattering in all limbs
  • Tiredness
  • Apathy

Hepar sulfuris (lime sulphur liver)

Typical dosage of Hepar sulfuris (calcium sulfur liver) for mastitis: Tablets D6

  • Here, stabbing pain in the swollen chest is characteristic, strong sensitivity to any touch
  • The pain is aggravated by cold applications
  • There is and was a general willingness to make purulent changes
  • (Wounds fester easily, boils and carbuncles are observed more frequently).
