  • Antimonium tartaricum

  • Ipecacuanha (ipecac root)
  • Pulsatilla (meadow pasque flower)

Antimonium tartaricum

Typical dosage of Antimonium tartaricum for cough: Tablets D6, D12

  • Weakness (often child or old person) makes it difficult to expectorate the tough, abundant mucus
  • Coarse rattle of phlegm, sensation of suffocation, shortness of breath, shortness of breath
  • Decayed, pale appearance, often nausea
  • Coughing occurs in humid cold, becomes worse in a warm room and when lying down
  • Must sit up to cough up
  • Worsening after midnight

Antimonium sulfuratum aurantiacum

  • Cramping cough with shortness of breath, choking and coarse rattling
  • The mucus is tough and difficult to expectorate
  • Vomiting and nosebleeds when coughing
  • Nausea
  • Generally worn out and exhausted
  • Pale face with dark circles under the eyes
  • Often severe hoarseness to the point of voicelessness
