Homeopathic medicines
The following homeopathic remedies are suitable for hives:
- Acidum formicicum (formic acid)
- Dulcamara (Bittersweet)
- Rhus toxicodendron (poison ivy)
Acidum formicicum (formic acid)
Typical dosage of Acidum formicicum (formic acid) for hives: drops D6 and D12
- General tendency to allergies which show themselves at skin and mucous membrane like neurodermatitis, asthma, hay fever
- The skin symptoms are accompanied here by joint complaints which have gout or rheumatism as cause
- High sensitivity to cold and wetness
Dulcamara (Bittersweet)
Typical dosage of Dulcamara (bittersweet) for hives: Tablets D4
- High sensitivity to cold, wet, wet-cold weather, damp rooms
- Skin rashes often result from cold, soaking (cold urticaria)
- Accompanying joint pain improves with heat and movement
