Inflammations of the skin occur in three phases.
Phases of skin inflammation
The following phases can be distinguished on the skin:
- Phase: Redness
- Phase: Bubbles and wheals
- Phase: Suppuration
First phase (reddening/hyperaemia)
- Aconitum (blue wolfsbane)
- Belladonna (Belladonna)
Second phase: appearance of swelling and wheals or blisters
- Apis (honey bee)
- Rhus toxicodendron (poison ivy)
- Cantharis (Spanish fly)
Third phase: appearance of pus
- Hepar sulfuris (lime sulphur liver)
- Sulphur (Purified sulphur)
- Silicea (silicic acid)
