How can I avoid the yo-yo effect with this diet?

The risk of a yo-yo effect is particularly high in the detox diet if large quantities and unhealthy food are eaten very quickly after the diet. In order to avoid the yo-yo effect, the change to a healthy, balanced diet should take place slowly. In the first days after the diet, light foods should be slowly introduced into everyday life, preferably salads and soups. In the first week, fatty and sweet foods should be avoided and from the second week onwards all foods may be eaten. Exercise effectively helps to maintain the desired weight.

Detox diet and alcohol – is it compatible?

Alcohol, just like caffeine and nicotine, contains toxins that inhibit the body’s intended self-purification program as part of the detox diet. If these so-called addictive substances are avoided, the detoxification organs, liver, intestines and kidneys, are relieved. Therefore, alcohol should be avoided during the detox diet.

In conventional medicine, however, the idea that waste products are the cause of cellulite is highly controversial. However, there are no risks involved in not eating acidic foods. Unfortunately there is no proof that a detox diet helps against cellulite.
