How long will I be on sick leave?

The length of the sick note depends largely on the severity of the dislocation, the type of care and the job of the person for whom the sick note is to be issued. After the operation, patients usually stay in hospital for a few days. For this period, the hospital will issue a certificate of residence.

In general, movement is restricted for about 6 weeks. In the meantime, physiotherapeutic treatment is already being considered. Afterwards, those affected can return to their jobs with office work.

Persons with physically demanding and active jobs can usually be put on sick leave for a longer period of time. The sick leave can last up to 3 months.
