Medical history (history of illness) represents an important component in the diagnosis of hyperglycemia (hyperglycemia).

Current anamnesis/systemic anamnesis (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • Have you noticed increased thirst?
  • Do you need to urinate more frequently?
  • Do you feel tired? Do you suffer from concentration problems?
  • Do you feel nauseous/do you vomit?
  • Have you lost weight unintentionally?
  • Do you suffer from muscle cramps, itching, etc.?

Vegetative anamnesis incl. nutritional anamnesis.

  • Are you overweight? Please tell us your body weight (in kg) and height (in cm).
  • Do you have a balanced diet?
    • Do you consume large amounts of carbohydrates with a high glycemic index (e.g., table sugar, white flour products, sweets, sweetened beverages)?
  • Do you get enough exercise every day?
