Medical history (history of illness) represents an important component in the diagnosis of hypomenorrhea.

  • How long has the change in menstruation existed?
  • How long is the cycle duration* or cycle length?

  • How heavy is the menstrual period? How many tampons or pads do you need per day? (< 2 pads / tampons per day)
  • How long does the menstrual period last?
  • Do you suffer from accompanying symptoms such as pain or fever?* * .
  • Basal body temperature curve (BTK) – recording the temperature curve (measured before getting up) can give important clues about hormonal imbalances.
