Imbalance of the Intestinal Flora (Dysbiosis): Symptoms, Complaints, Signs

A dysbiosis (imbalance of the intestinal flora) is often accompanied by no symptoms or complaints.

Complaints that indicate dysbiosis can be varied and are usually sequelae of the disturbed intestinal flora:

  • Flatulence – often associated with flatulence (lat. flatus “wind”).
  • Feeling of fullness
  • Diaphragmatic protrusion (as far as no other cause is apparent).
  • States of exhaustion
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Nausea (nausea)
  • Changes in stool frequency – e.g., diarrhea (diarrhea); constipation (constipation).
  • Food intolerances
