In the elementary school

Even in circuit training for elementary school, care should be taken to ensure that the exercises are balanced overall and that all areas of the body are trained equally. When choosing the exercises and equipment, the students can also be involved in the selection if necessary. The goals of circuit training should be to maintain good health, develop motor skills and experience your own body.

In addition to these goals, it is of course important to determine in advance whether the focus is on speed, strength, endurance or mobility. The advantages of circuit training are that many students can do their exercises at the same time, moving with others has a motivating effect on individual students and one can train in a space and time saving manner. But gymnastics and training in a small space also requires good supervision of the students and consideration among the students.

The safety aspect should be at the forefront so that injuries can be ruled out as much as possible. When choosing exercises, fun is the most important thing. The exercises should be motivating and not too difficult.

Small competitions among each other are as much a part of the exercise as some music at the time of training. Games such as arm wrestling (arm muscles), sumo (balance), common knee bend (front of the thigh) or cycling (abdominal muscles) are part of the common collection of exercises and are played at primary school age. In order to set a different focus, you can also put an entire circle on partner exercises, so that you have a partner circle.

This can then be used, for example, to complete tasks together and learn to be able to rely on your partner. The students should have fun with strength training when doing circle training. In addition, they should learn to develop and discover their abilities through training and exercises.

Circuit training can make an important contribution to a comprehensive and age-appropriate development of the children. In addition to the playful aspects, strength, endurance, speed, agility and cooperation can be very well integrated and trained in a circuit training.
