Infectious and parasitic diseases (A00-B99).
- Sepsis (blood poisoning)
Musculoskeletal system and connective tissue (M00-M99).
- Joint capsular phlegmon – diffuse inflammation of the joint capsule caused mainly by streptococci.
- Hydrarthos (joint effusion)
- Panarthritis – complete inflammation of all structures belonging to the joint.
- Paraarticular abscess – formation of an encapsulated collection of pus in the area of the joint.
- Destruction of bone/cartilage
