Medical history (history of illness) represents an important component in the diagnosis of influenza infection (common cold).

  • What is the general health of your relatives?

Social history

  • What is your profession?

Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • What symptoms have you noticed in yourself?
  • Do you have a cold and/or runny nose?
  • Do you suffer from fever, fatigue?
  • Do you have a cough, sore throat, hoarseness?
  • Do you have muscle pain?
  • How long have these symptoms been present?

Vegetative anamnesis including nutritional anamnesis.

  • Has your appetite changed?
  • Do you suffer from sleep disturbances?
  • Do you smoke? If yes, how many cigarettes, cigars or pipes per day?
  • Do you drink alcohol? If yes, what drink(s) and how many glasses per day?
  • Do you use drugs? If yes, what drugs and how many times a day or week?
