Interaction | Kijimea® Immune

Interaction

So far, no interactions with other drugs have been reported. This is partly due to the fact that the active ingredient is not absorbed into the bloodstream in the intestine, where it can interact with other drugs. Nevertheless, if any side effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted immediately.

This person should be informed about the intake of other drugs. An interaction of alcohol with the ingredients of Kijimea® Immun is not known. In principle, however, the consumption of alcohol should be avoided in case of gastrointestinal complaints or infections.

Regular consumption of alcohol can influence the immune processes taking place in the body. This can prolong the course of the disease and cancel the effect of Kijimea® Immun. Taking antibiotics can damage the flora naturally occurring in the intestines.

This is because small amounts of the antibiotic are not absorbed by the body and pass through the intestine. Particularly within the range of the large intestine strongly populated with bacteria it comes then to an interaction of the antibiotic with the bacteria. The bacterial walls are destroyed, the metabolic processes of the bacteria are stopped and the further growth of the bacteria is inhibited. For this reason, the body’s own intestinal flora can be strengthened again after antibiotic treatment by taking high doses of specific bacterial strains. With Kijimea® Immune, at least the amount of three important bacterial strains can be significantly increased again, thereby strengthening the immune system.

Contraindications

As no side effects or interactions have been reported to date, there are no relevant contraindications to the use of Kijimea® Immun. In case of unclear gastrointestinal complaints that have not been diagnosed by a physician, a physician should always be consulted before taking the dietary supplement to clarify possible causes of the symptoms (including serious illnesses such as chronic inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer or severe infections). Treatment of these diseases with Kijimea® Immun is not possible.

Dosage

A Kijimea® Immune Stick should be taken once a day. It is a powder. It should be taken in combination with a meal or after dissolving it in a glass of cold, non-carbonated liquid (e.g. water, juice, yoghurt).

The taste is described as very pleasant by the majority of patients. It can be easily combined with normal meals. To ensure the effectiveness of the therapy, this treatment should be continued for at least two weeks. A continuous intake of the preparation for at least four weeks is recommended. The recommended daily dosage (1 stick per day) must not be exceeded.
