Klacid® in pregnancy/breastfeeding

An increased risk of miscarriage is possible, but has not yet been proven. Taking it during pregnancy should therefore be avoided if possible. Klacid® and its active degradation product pass into the mother’s milk, so that it can come with the breastfed baby to diarrhea and fungal colonization by the disturbed intestine flora. Before treatment with the active ingredient Clarithromycin, breast-feeding should therefore be stopped or paused if possible.
