Interactions | Mucosolvan®

Interactions

If codeine is taken at the same time as Mucosolvan®, a dangerous congestion of secretion can occur due to the reduced cough reflex. The antibiotics amoxicillin, cefuroxime, doxycycline and erythromycin are increasingly absorbed into the bronchial secretion if they are taken at the same time as Mucosolvan®.

Consumption during pregnancy

According to studies in animals, the drug Mucosolvan® passes through the placental barrier into the blood of the unborn child and also accumulates in breast milk. The drug Mucosolvan® should not be taken during the first trimester of pregnancy or while breast-feeding. During the rest of the pregnancy a careful risk-benefit analysis is necessary before taking the drug to avoid harming the child.
