Interactions | Neuro Stada®

Interactions

Interactions with other medications may occur under certain circumstances. For example, the effect of the anti-Parkinson drug L-Dopa can be weakened when Neuro Stada® is taken. Certain antibiotics (cycloserine, isoniazid) and oral contraceptives (“the pill”) can reduce the effect of vitamin B6.

Overdoses

In general, the ingredients of Neuro Stada® are considered non-toxic. Only when taking very large doses can undesirable effects occur. These effects become noticeable through neurological disorders. For example, an overdose that takes place over weeks can be nerve-damaging and lead to symptoms that were actually the focus of the treatment, such as sensations in the hands.

Side effects

In general, side effects of Neuro Stada® can usually be attributed to an overdose. Side effects that can be associated with vitamin B1 in particular are sweating, hives, and increased heart rate. Prolonged intake of too much vitamin B6 can lead to sensory disturbances, especially in the hands and feet.

Contraindications

Neuro Stada® must not be taken if there is an allergy to one of the ingredients. It is also pointed out that an intake during pregnancy and lactation should be monitored by a physician and the values may only exceed the maximum daily dose in the case of a proven vitamin deficiency. For vitamin B1 this value is 1.4-1.6mg, for vitamin B6 2.4-2.6mg. It is important to note that the ingredients of Neuro Stada® pass into breast milk, and vitamin B6 can inhibit milk production in nursing women.
