How often and for how long should I take homeopathic medication?

How often and for how long a homeopathic remedy should be taken for eczema depends strongly on the type of eczema and its severity. In general, the application for a period of one to two weeks can usually be carried out without hesitation. If there are any uncertainties, a homeopathic doctor should be consulted.

Treatment of the disease only with homeopathy or only as supportive therapy?

Whether eczema can only be treated with homeopathy or whether it can only be used supportively depends strongly on the type and severity of the eczema.

  • A localized eczema can be treated with homeopathic preparations. This often leads to an improvement.

However, if this does not happen, another form of therapy must be used.

  • For more severe forms of eczema, such as neurodermatitis, the treatment to be used should be discussed with a doctor. The homeopathic remedies can be supportive here.

The most common eczema that occurs in children is the so-called atopic eczema, also known as neurodermatitis. The probability of the occurrence is clearly increased, if already a parent is ill with Neurodermitis. The difficult thing about eczema in children is that the children’s scratching leads to skin lesions which are an easy entry point into the body for bacteria and other pathogens. Early and adequate treatment of eczema in children is therefore of great importance. For this purpose, dermatological treatment by a specialist is recommended.
