Jehovah’s Witnesses and blood transfusion
Jehovah’s Witnesses usually refuse blood transfusions. This is because of their interpretation of some verses of the Bible. Jehovah’s Witnesses also consider transfusions to be prohibited in emergency situations where donor blood is needed. A violation of this rule often leads to expulsion from the congregation.
