Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga is a less physical than spiritual form of Yoga. Nevertheless, the spiritual goal is pursued by the use of the body and breathing. Through breath synchronous movements the so called Kundalini energy should be released.

Breathing is of particular importance. Exercises in Kunalini Yoga are not called Asana but Kriyas. One speaks of the Yoga of consciousness.

Although the orientation of Undalini Yoga is more spiritual, it is a very popular form of Yoga, also in the western world. The physical effort is complemented by meditation and chanting (mantra). During Kundalini Yoga the yogi wears white clothes to unleash the energy of the individual.

Iyengar Yoga

Iyenga Yoga is a subform of Hatha Yoga. Asanas are held in one position for a long time, the breathing plays a major role. Exercises are performed in different starting positions (e.g. standing, sitting, lying down) and, which is rarely the case in yoga, aids can be used.

This makes Iyenga Yoga a good yoga form for physically limited target groups who, for example, cannot train on the floor and a yoga mat. It is all about posture, perception, relaxation and concentration. The goal is to recharge your batteries and experience serenity. In the long run, the yogi will become stronger and more flexible, he should also achieve a more optimistic attitude and become more relaxed.

Viniyoga

Vinyoga focuses on the yogi in his current life situation. The exercises adapt to his culture, age, health, physical and mental status. Vinyoga is therefore rather not part of the group courses known here, as the basic concept of the Yoga form is not guaranteed.

It is much more a kind of yoga therapy, where the yogi can choose appropriate exercises for his current condition. There are exercises for mental pain, for muscular tension, for menstrual problems and many more. The exercises should be guided by a Vinyoga teacher who can assess the needs of his student and thus select the right exercises.
