Libido Disorders in Woman: Test and Diagnosis

Libido disorder is usually diagnosed on the basis of history and physical examination.

Laboratory parameters of the 1st order – obligatory laboratory tests.

  • Small blood count
  • Testosterone (male sex hormone) [Note: androgen serum concentrations do not correlate with the expression of libido disorder].
  • DHEA-S (dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate).
  • FSH, estradiol – as far as not yet menopause.
  • Thyroid parameters – TSH
  • Prolactin

Laboratory parameters 2nd order – depending on the results of the history, physical examination, etc. – for differential diagnostic clarification.
