Lomustine was commercially available in the form of capsules (Ceenu). It had been approved in many countries since 1981.

Structure and properties

Lomustine (C₉H₁₆ClN₃O₂, M_r = 233.7 g/mol) is a yellow crystalline powder that is practically insoluble in water. It is an N-nitrosourea.

Effects

Lomustine (ATC L01AD02) is alkylating and cytostatic.
