- In the context of colds, before middle ear inflammation and suppuration occurs, Ferrum phosphoricum is the remedy of choice
- The disease develops slowly (not as stormy as with aconitum and belladonna)
- Fever slowly increases, face color sometimes pale sometimes red
- Pulse, fast, soft and easy to suppress
- Palpitating pain in the ear (you can feel the pulse in the ear)
- Tendency to nosebleed
- Little thirst
- Everything worse at night (especially early in the morning between 4 and 6 o’clock)
- Better through cold applications and slow walking around
