Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma: Medical History

Medical history (history of illness) represents an important component in the diagnosis of malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH).

Family history

  • Are there any diseases in your family that are common? (Tumor diseases)

Social anamnesis

Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • Do you suffer from persistent or increasing pain for which there is no identifiable cause?
  • Have you noticed swelling or deformities under the skin or are they visible from the outside?
  • Does this swelling hurt?
  • Do you feel sluggish?
  • Do you suffer from dizziness?
  • Since when do you have these complaints? Do they occur continuously or only in phases, for example during movements?
  • How is your physical resilience to be classified?
  • Have you noticed any other symptoms?

Vegetative anamnesis incl. nutritional anamnesis.

  • Have you lost weight unintentionally?

Self history including medication history.

  • Previous diseases (diseases of the musculoskeletal system, tumor diseases).
  • Radiotherapy
  • Allergies
  • Environmental history (ionizing radiation/X-ray/radioactivity).
