As one of these rare side effects, chest pain (angina pectoris), restlessness, irritability and others may occur. Interactions
A combination of melatonin with other drugs that have sedative hypnotic effects may increase the drug’s attenuating effect. A combination with certain antidepressants and neuroleptics as well as with other sleeping pills and alcohol should therefore be critically reviewed.

Due to currently still missing clinical data in patients under 18 years, patients with significantly reduced liver and kidney function and patients with autoimmune diseases, treatment with melatonin is not recommended here. Costs
