1st order laboratory parameters – obligatory laboratory tests.
- Small blood count (hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (Hct)).
- Ferritin – if iron deficiency anemia is suspected.
- HCG determination (human chorionic gonadotropin) – to exclude pregnancy.
- 17-beta estradiol
- Progesterone
- FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone)
- TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) – if thyroid dysfunction is suspected.
Laboratory parameters 2nd order – depending on the results of the history, physical examination, etc. – for differential diagnostic clarification.
- Inflammatory parameters – CRP (C-reactive protein) or ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate).
- Coagulation parameters – bleeding time, Quick, PTT.
- Von Willebrandt Jürgens factor and its antigen.
- Factor VIII activity
