As the name suggests, these are games that require active thinking. The luck factor is outsourced as far as possible, rather one trains the logical and strategic thinking, as well as the ability to combine. They are particularly suitable for putting strain on the brain and for using it in a different form than the usual in everyday life.

Since one must concentrate to reach the goal, they serve in a special way to train the ability to concentrate, but also the staying power. In the field of mind games one can distinguish between: Thinking games are available as board games, computer games, but also as games that you can play from a standing position without any materials. They can be played alone or in combination with one or more partners.

By solving a thinking game on your own, not only the ability to concentrate but also the self-esteem is increased. Since it can be played in a community and also independent of age, mind games – like parlour games in general – also have a social component.
