- Cold symptoms with headache, aching limbs, cough; may present with pharyngitis (laryngitis), bronchitis
- Pneumonia (pneumonia)
The following are the mycoplasma pathogens commonly transmitted through sexual intercourse:
Mycoplasma hominis (facultative pathogen).
- Women
- Vaginitis/colpitis (inflammation of the vagina)
- Cervicitis (inflammation of the cervix)
- Adnexitis (inflammation of the so-called adnexa (Engl.: appendages), ie the fallopian tubes and ovaries.
- Z.T. abscesses and septicemia
- Men
- Prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate)
Ureaplasma urealyticum (facultative pathogen).
- Women
- Vaginitis/colpitis
- Cervicitis
- Adnexitis
- Men
- Urethritis (inflammation of the urethra)
- Prostatitis
- Newborn
- Pneumonia (pneumonia)
