Mycosis Fungoides: Medical History

Medical history (history of illness) represents an important component in the diagnosis of mycosis fungoides.

Family history

  • What is the general health of your relatives?
  • Are there any diseases in your family that are common?
  • Are there any hereditary diseases in your family?

Social history

  • What is your profession?

Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • What complaints have you noticed?
    • Skin changes (rashes, skin inflammation)? If so:
      • What is the color and shape of these?
      • Where are the spots located?
      • Are the skin lesions palpable?
    • Painless swollen lymph nodes?
  • How long have these changes been present?
  • Do you have any itching?
    • Entire body?
    • Locally in the area of the skin change?
